The NBA preseason has started, with the regular season slated to resume December 22 with the Golden State Warriors vs. the Brooklyn Nets, and the Los Angeles Clippers vs. the defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.
Brooklyn’s team will look a lot different this season, with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant both healthy. Kyrie had 18 points in 17 minutes, in their first preseason game December 13 against the Washington Wizards. Kevin Durant had 15 points in 23 minutes.
The Eastern Conference will be interesting this year because of a healthy Nets squad, and an vengeful Milwaukee Bucks team than remembers their failure in the playoffs this past covid bubble season.
The Western Conference will be tough as always, and that won’t change even with some major changes from the Houston Rockets. The Lakers will be looking to repeat, and the Clippers will be looking to forget all about their playoff collapse to the Denver Nuggets.
I am also excited to see how big of a step Luka Doncic makes in his third NBA season, all with the Dallas Mavericks.
